Frances Armstrong Associates LLP is currently seeking the services of a Family law solicitor with 1-3 yrs PQE for our well established client based close to public transport, 30 minutes from london in Hertfordshire
The firm is extremely well known in the area and has a solid reputation in providing first class client services and is currently seeking a forward thinking Family solicitor to join and strengthen their successful family team. The role will provide a good mixture of Public and Private work at approximately 80% Public & 20% Private.
Applicants travelling from London have the luxury of a good rail link from Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale.
Roles and Responsibilities The role includes:-
* Maintaining your own caseload of Family files, with supervision and support as required.
* Regular issues may include: Divorce and related financial proceedings i.e. ancillary relief; Co-habitation issues including financial settlement; and Children Act issues
* Producing ones own correspondence and drafting documentation and forms (e.g. divorce petitions and cohabitation agreements, and drafting Form Es with supervision)
* Effectively organising your workload; assessing priorities and working to deadlines
* Undertaking research as required
* Liaising with clients and solicitors; taking instructions; and building a rapport with all parties
Key Attributes - You will have:
* A UK qualified Family Solicitor with between 1-3 years PQE
* Willingness and keenness to develop advocacy skills is essential
* Excellent organisational skills; the ability to work well under pressure and handle a number of work priorities with limited supervision at times
* Excellent client care skills
* Good communication and feedback skills
* A confident and pleasant telephone manner.
* Solid IT skills with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Experience of working a case management system would also be desirable
The firm is offering a very competitive Salary and Benefits package of up to £35,000 and will be awarded in accordance with previous experience, skills and expectations. A bonus scheme will also be negotiated.
