REAL ESTATE DISPUTE RESOLUTION KNOWLEDGE LAWYER - LONDON CITY
Leading UK commercial firm is seeking a Real Estate Dispute Resolution Knowledge Lawyer to join their Professional Practice Department based in the London office
Job Purpose
To provide expert, technical legal knowledge, thought-leadership and the promotion of know-how across the practice area and to promote the expertise of the group to existing and potential clients.
Key Accountabilities
· Maintain thought-leading expertise in legal developments pertinent to the Real Estate Dispute Resolution Group.
· Analyse and disseminate details of developments to the Group
· Undertake complex research, provide detailed analysis and act as a sounding board to the Group on technical legal issues.
· Regularly consult with Partners and fee-earners to ensure that the know-how and training needs of the Group are being met.
· Produce and amend practice notes and precedents and ensure that these reflect legal and commercial changes.
· Identify and design an appropriate programme of legal training for Partners and fee earners.
· Draft material for and deliver agreed internal and client training programmes and promote cross-group training to make use of firm-wide expertise.
· Lead knowledge-sharing workshops and ensure that all relevant know-how is recorded and circulated.
· Influence and persuade senior members of the Group to contribute to the development of the group's know-how and training.
· Promote the Real Estate Dispute Resolution Group across the firm and network externally.
· Assist Real Estate Dispute Resolution Group in its business development activities including co authoring articles and organising and delivering events.
· Assisting team in delivery of technical material.
Key Skills and Experience Required
· Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years PQE working in Dispute Resolution, with some experience in real estate
· Excellent drafting skills a commitment to drafting which is both technically correct and clear
· Attention to detail; an analytical, thorough and committed approach to work
· An enthusiastic and pro-active approach to knowledge management and to best practice
· Excellent communication skills and confidence to engage regularly with partners and fee-earners
at all levels and with secretaries and other support staff
· Ability to prioritise in accordance with business requirements
· Fully IT literate
