Job Description

This Magic Circle firm has a market-leading dispute resolution department specialising in:- Domestic commercial litigation - Large-scale multi-jurisdictional litigation - European and international law disputes - International and domestic arbitration - Mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution - Negotiation with, and advocacy concerning, regulatory and government agencies Their work includes a broad range of commercial disputes and work in specialist areas such as banking, financial services and securities, construction and engineering, energy, EU and antitrust, environmental, planning and regulatory, fraud, human rights, insurance and reinsurance law, intellectual property and information technology, international arbitration, product liability, professional negligence, property, public international law, and restructuring and insolvency. They are currently looking for lawyers to join their international arbitration group. This group is widely recognised as the world's leading practice in the area of international arbitration. The team includes some of the world's best- known practitioners conducting some of the largest, most complex and high-profile arbitrations in the market. The group includes specialists in all areas of commercial and investor/state arbitrations and in all the major industry sectors most relevant to international arbitration, including corporate, construction, energy, financial services, telecommunications and public services.Responsibilities:- Managing document reviews - Drafting complex witness statements, expert reports and pleadings - Running, as the lead associate, project processes on significant cases - Drafting letters/emails to client/other side - Attending mediation/settlement discussions and draft settlement agreements - Formulating case strategy - Delegating to and mentoring juni
