CONTENTIOUS CONSTRUCTION SOLICITOR - LONDON CITY
Leading international full service law firm seeks Litigation & Arbitration (Contentious Construction) Solicitor 2- 5 years PQE.
General Information
This prestigious firm has an extensive litigation and arbitration practice spanning a number of commercial, industrial and professional sectors. The practice encompasses life sciences, energy, accountancy, telecommunications, leisure and sport, fraud-related claims, shareholder and partnership disputes, and many others. The team advises on a broad range of work including litigation and arbitration in the energy sector, engineering and construction disputes, media and product liability law, IT, Defence contracts, professional negligence and accountancy disputes arising on completion accounts.
They are currently seeking a litigator to work in one of the general litigation groups. The main focus of the role will be construction litigation. The practice also covers international arbitration.
Experience Requirements
Essential
· Candidates will have gained in the region of 2- 5 years post qualification experience within the litigation practice of a top tier/Magic Circle firm. Will consider candidates with less or more than the required level of experience provided they can demonstrate their suitability.
· Academic excellence is essential for all positions within the firm. Would always expect a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) and solicitors' examinations passed first time. All applications should include full academic details including grades, subjects and transcripts where appropriate.
· Previous experience in contentious construction.
· Previous responsibility of running small/medium sized matters
· Proven ability to deal with a high volume of clients
· Previous experience in strategy planning, drafting pleadings, briefing witnesses and instructing experts.
