Uninsured Loss Recovery Paralegal


Leading midlands firm requires ULR / credit hire paralegals to join their existing busy team. The Credit hire team deals with both traditional and potentially fraudulent credit hire claims including General Terms of Agreement (GTA) and non-GTA credit hire cases, enforceability, intervention strategies, illegality and intelligence/behavioural analysis


Your day to day duties include: Handling files to recover clients uninsured losses, handling a case load of both pre litigated and litigated matters, preparing and seeing files through to court hearing including liaising with barristers and clients to achieve the best outcome for the client. Improving communications and reviewing ways of working within the SLA contract to suit both client and handlers needs, compiling monthly reports to report matter progress to the clients, supporting and stepping in for the Team Manager daily, supporting other team members in their role


The team has a progressive approach and a market leading reputation for not simply tackling the claims themselves from a litigation perspective but for also tackling and analysing behaviours and trends with a view to providing insurers with bespoke strategies


Ideally you'll be a legal executive / paralegal who has experience of personal injury litigation. You'll provide a timely, professional and high quality service to clients in the management of the high volume litigated credit hire cases. You'll handle a caseload of pre-litigation and litigated work covering the above types of claim with an appropriate level of supervision and act as a point of contact for clients, to provide a timely, professional and high-quality service. You will assume responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on own caseload, including accuracy and timeliness of management reporting and information


This role will also include supporting marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. attending marketing events and client training. You will be required to handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols. You should be confident when negotiating and have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will also have a flexible, positive attitude and work well as part of a team. You have a flexible, positive attitude with experience of working within a pressurised and deadline driven environment with the ability to prioritise work effectively


You'll have an outstanding eye for details with excellent IT Skills and a good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
