My client is a personable in-house legal team who serve a public sector organisation in Mid Glamorgan, South Wales. They are looking to recruit an enthusiastic community care paralegal to the team on a full time, temporary basis. There is also strong likelihood that this role will be offered on a permanent basis if the temporary assignment is progressing well.
This is an opportunity to join a long established legal team who are consistently working on a number of interesting projects. The successful applicant will be providing an administrative service, supporting all members of the legal team.
Particular duties will include:
* Assisting lawyers by preparing documentation for court
* Maintaining court bundles
* Liaising with client department to progress cases
The ideal candidate will have completed the LLB and LPC and be able to demonstrate knowledge of social care law (childcare, adult, mental health or education) and other litigation matters.
The ideal applicant will also have strong ICT skills including familiarity with case management software. Strong communications skills are important as is the ability to build friendly yet professional relationships with a range of different professionals.
This role pays an hourly rate of £10 - £20 per hour depending upon applicants experience in debt recovery law.
