ROLE: Telephonist / Legal Secretary - Criminal
HOURS: 9:00 - 5:30

A regional Criminal law firm based in Manchester is seeking a Legal Secretary to join them at their Deansgate office. Our client consistently attracts high profile work that has been prosecuted by such bodies as the Inland Revenue, HM Revenue & Customs, the Serious Fraud Office and the Department of Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, as well as the Crown Prosecution Service.
The Legal Secretary will be working alongside 3 solicitors and 1 consultant. The role will be telphone based with a lot of typing / audio dictation. The typing will conisist of delicate and graphic informtaion of top end crimes therefore those with a resillant nature or recommended.
It is essential that the candidate has experience using the DPS case management system and has experience in criminal legal aid.
Candidates who have experience in any other practice area other than criminal will not be considered for the role.
The main duties will be to deal with : -
* Document Production
* Photocopying, faxing and filing
* Digital Dictation
* Searches & forms
* Liaising with clients and third parties
* Diary Management
* Filing & Archiving
* Occasional Meeting & Travel arrangements
To be considered for this position it is important that you have a years' experience as a legal secretary within the criminal sector. It would also be beneficial if you have experience with the big hand digital dictation system. The client is looking for a confident candidate who can hit the ground running.
