Within the Birmingham office, the Retail and Occupiers team comprises of two 2 partners, two associates, a solicitor and a legal assistant, who work closely together.
The work is primarily landlord and tenant and estate management work for occupiers with large property portfolios. The clients with whom we work are varied, including retailers, restauranteurs, hoteliers, financial institutions, manufacturers and logistics companies. The team also deals with a growing amount of property investment work for property investors.
Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking to recruit a Solicitor to work in our busy Retail and Occupiers Team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with a range of commercial property management work to include drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases and renewal leases, licences and other estate management documents, carrying out searches and due diligence on property transactions and dealing with post completion Stamp Duty land tax payments and Land Registry applications. They will also be responsible for assisting with investment purchases including reviewing and negotiating contracts, carrying out appropriate due diligence, raising and reviewing enquiries and drafting reports to clients.
