A Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive is sought by this reputable law firm to work in their Claimant Abuse team in Exeter.

You will handle a caseload of claimant child abuse cases against local authorities and Social Services in respect of failures to identify abuse. It’s a demanding but rewarding role and would suit a Solicitor or F.ILEX with around 1 to 3 years experience of litigating claims of this nature. You will be part of a large and successful Clinical Negligence and Injury team.

There may also be scope to work on Personal Injury and/or Medical Negligence claims although the main focus of this role will be on abuse cases.

Skills required:

  • A level of confidence and empathy to deal with often highly traumatised clients;
  • Experience of Injury litigation - ideally child abuse;
  • The ability to maintain litigation files to the highest standards;
  • IT skills;
  • Experience in dealing with Courts, opponents, Experts and Counsel;
  • A commitment to client care;
  • Familiarity with business development and marketing.

This is a full time permanent position offering a competitve salary and benefits that will reflect your skills and experience. Part time applicants will also be considered.
