The Role

A new opportunity has arisen in our Leamington Spa Office for a Solicitor on a temporary basis, whose responsibilities will include managing a caseload of clinical negligence and personal injury work and dealing with new clients.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Progress and manage own caseload including those under the Personal Injury Portal system

  • Deal with clients and other organisations, by telephone and in person including by post and email

  • Comply with quality systems and work instructions

  • Ensure compliance with external funders and LEXCEL

  • Time record appropriately all work undertaken

  • Develop and promote the department and the Firm as reasonably required

  • Achieve targets for billing and time recording

  • Assist in maximising effectiveness and cost efficiency of the Department

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the law and legal system as is required in the Department by attending external courses (as permitted) and by other available means

  • Assist with website & case management system development

Knowledge and Experience

  • LLB Honours Law Degree

  • Grade 2 qualified

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the law and legal system as is required

  • Excellent time-keeping and organisational skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel and proficient typing skills

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Good working knowledge and application of accounting and finance systems within the Firm
