We are looking for a Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor to manage a small multi-track caseload but primarily to assist our Partners on higher value, catastrophic cases. We are looking for candidates with high calibre training and experience in EL/PL/RTA claims, are technically capable and can develop excellent relationships with clients.


Team Information:
Our national team services personal injury claims from seven office locations across the UK. The London team is a major force in the local market. We act for well-known clients and on some very high profile cases, led by experienced Partners recognised as market leaders in this sector.
We advise on defendant personal injury claims covering the entire range from 'slip and trip' to catastrophic personal injury (including spinal, brain and multiple injuries, psychiatric injury, amputations, fatal accidents and multiple orthopaedic traumas).

Requirements:


Qualifications:
Essential: UK Qualified Solicitor, Foreign Qualified or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience.
Strong Academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent.

Experience: (Type, length, quality, background)
Essential: 2-4* years' defendant personal injury experience.
Catastrophic injury experience (EL/ PL/ RTA).
Desirable: Experience of international cases and jurisdiction/applicable law issues.
To have had previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
Experience of mediation and negotiation.
Second language (ideally French).

Skills and Abilities: (Technical, self-management, managing others)
Essential: Ability to apply a commercial approach to claims in order to deliver economic solutions.
To be proactive and take initiative.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills.
Strong technical and research skills.
Attention to detail.
