The Commercial team in Leeds comprises four Partners and 6 qualified lawyers (3 Senior Associates and 3 Associates). We now have an opportunity on our team for a lawyer with 4-8 years PQE.

Key responsibilities:

You will work as part of a team advising on a wide range of commercial and IT contracting matters – from day to day contracts to some of the most strategic and business critical contracts our clients enter into and including everything in between.

This regularly includes advising on multi-jurisdictional outsourcings, IT system and software developments agreements (including cloud and SAAS) and affinity agreements in the FS space.

The workload is varied, challenging and rewarding and will also have an active engagement with clients and colleagues across the globe as well as being involved in business development.

Skills and experience:

You will possess strong technical skills and excellent academic qualifications. In addition you will be able to demonstrate exceptional inter personal skills and an ability to grow and develop lasting relationships with clients. You will have a strong approach to supervision and a willingness to work with an develop junior lawyers.

Key competencies:

You should be a team player, client focused and a good communicator with a strong practical approach to your workload.

A commitment of delivering quality service is essential, as is the ability to juggle the demands of a challenging but rewarding workload.

To be successful you will have a sharp and intelligent mind with the ability to think through complex problems under pressure.

You must be able to provide first rate client service, both internally and externally, coupled with a commitment to delivering a quality service.
