Property Litigation Legal Assistant
Our client, a well established private practice based in the heart of Sheffield, are recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join their successful Property Litigation Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, determined and enthusiastic candidate wanting to join an exciting and dynamic team. First and foremost candidates should have a strong commitment to Property Litigation and delivering excellent client service.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to assist the Lawyers of the department with a varied case load of work. As such, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and develop within a friendly and collegiate team.
The successful candidate will be a Legal Assistant with at least 2 years Property Litigation experience working in a similar role within a reputable law firm. The role will require the successful candidate to assist and support the Lawyers with their case load, working with clients on a full range of issues including, residential possession claims, preparation of notices to terminate commercial leases and to terminate the same, instructing experts and counsel and attendance at trial where required.
Due to the nature of this work, the candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be expected to handle telephone calls and initial client enquiries. Desirable key skills and experiences:
Experience of working as an Property Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal within a solicitor’s practice.
Ability to manage and organise large volumes of documents.
Provide excellent client service in line with our departmental standards, procedures and guidelines.
Building effective relationships with clients and colleagues. Ability to contemporaneously time record.
Confident in use of Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work as part of a team and will be flexible and reliable, with ambition to progress and develop their Property Litigation knowledge and accept a challenging role.
