I am currently working with a leading Thames Valley headquartered Law Firm delivering City Quality Legal advice at a competitive price, setting the standard for regional Law Firms in the UK. The Firm is now looking for a Private Client Solicitor to join them and contribute in their growth and success as a Firm.
The Private Client Solicitor will be dealing with preparation of Wills, Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters, Inheritance and Tax Planning matters. In addition, there may also be an element of Contentious Probate work alongside the Litigation Team. The Solicitor will be assisting other Solicitors in the department when required; with main responsibilities of updating department Client guides, drafting Trust Deeds, Trustee Resolutions, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, delivering updates for both Clients and team internally, keeping up-to-date with changes in Private Client Law and related Taxation issues.
The Solicitor must be self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and an ability to work well with others. They will need to deliver excellent service to Clients and Colleagues; possessing excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel, an interest in Private Client Law, handling sensitive matters discreetly. The Private Client Solicitor must possess a willingness to develop and expand their experience and knowledge within the Legal sector, being keen to support the Firm’s and the Department’s business development.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Assisting other solicitors in the Department when required
• Dealing with preparation of Inheritance Tax Returns for Estates and Trusts
• Involvement in Department development initiatives
• Eye for detail and meticulous approach
• Good organisation skills with a methodical approach
• Ability to work under time constraints and prioritise work load
• Location: Reading
• Salary Range (DOE): £30,000 - £45,000
• Job Type: Permanent
