My client is a highly-rated Top 100 practice with an excellent reputation for handling quality work across a number of sectors. Amongst these areas of specialism the firm boasts a high calibre planning law offering, and it is keen to recruit a talented solicitor of circa 4+ yrs PQE to join this team in its impressive and expanding Gloucestershire office.
As an experienced lawyer with a proven track record in the planning law arena, you will be looking to handle a range of contentious and non-contentious planning matters, including strategic planning advice, planning appeals, judicial reviews, and enforcement issues. You will be dealing with the negotiation of planning and infrastructure agreements, such as Section 106 and Section 278 Agreements.
The firm works for a broad spectrum of clients across areas such as retail, construction, residential and commercial developers and public sector bodies, and so you will be working on high calibre matters on a regular basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading player with a presence in various legal hubs across the UK as part of an overall top –rated commercial property offering. The firm is inviting applications from solicitors of at least 4 years PQE and who have accrued at least some of this experience working in private practice. Remuneration is competitive and is designed to attract the best talent available.

We NEVER lose sight of the fact that our candidates and clients are people and not commodities. We are in recruitment because we want to improve lives not just change them for the sake of it. We are staffed by lawyers and non-lawyers alike all sharing our passion to get things right and all having gone through rigorous training and development to ensure we are always able to help and offer pragmatic and non-patronising advice. We are happy to talk even when there is absolutely no chance of a fee as we think that is the right thing to do.
We aim to give all of our candidates an edge by giving them every legitimate help that we can – to ensure that in the current competitive environment our candidates are the best prepared and researched. Having been established for nearly a decade we are proud to have staff with a wealth of experience in top end legal recruitment which helped countless candidates through the recession of the early ‘90s. All of them genuinely care about the people they represent.
This is a cross section of some of the comments we have received:
“I have known Jane for a number of years now. She has never been pushy or simply interested in placing me in the first available job. Instead, she has focused on finding the right job for me, at the right time for me. I would recommend Jane to anyone.”
“Tony has done an excellent job throughout. He is professional, courteous and thorough.”
“Greg was fantastic right from our initial conversation. He clearly has excellent knowledge of the market and goes the extra mile compared to other recruiters. Overall I would be happy to recommend Greg to friends within the profession – in fact I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. Greg was first class.”
