Personal Injury Secretary, Ipswich office

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: To reflect the seniority of the role and the candidate

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm

Holiday entitlement: 20 days per annum

Job Specification: This is an exciting opportunity to work in Ellisons’ Ipswich office.

Working for a Partner in Personal Injury, duties will include:

• Electronic diary management, booking rooms and arranging meetings

• Liaising with clients and firm’s contacts

• Using digital transcription system, Bighand, to create letters, emails and documents

• Amending and reformatting documents in Microsoft Word and using Track Changes

• Using the firm’s Accounts software, Partner for Windows, to record payments in and out, create new matters and where necessary, record time spent

• Completing standard forms

• Photocopying and scanning documents

• Maintaining orderly files – keeping filing up to date

Experience and abilities required:

• We are looking for a senior secretary with significant secretarial experience at a high level in a professional environment. Some relevant legal experience would be an advantage but not essential

• Fast typing speeds

• Have the intelligence to adapt and pick up new ideas and follow the necessary processes

• Be able to deal with the pressure of the workflow and handle a backlog at times

• The ability to multi-task

• Proven team working skills
