A great opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our clients’ niche Solicitors firm in Birmingham.

Our client is seeking a full time, permanent Paralegal to join their team and this vacancy will suit a confident and motivated graduate, college leaver or final year university student who has been studying Law. The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to train to become a Solicitor through the chartered legal executive route.

The successful candidate will be focusing on Wills, Probate, Tax Planning, Trusts and Court of Protection work and additionally, Islamic Wills.

Key responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Learning the basics of Private Client work (including Wills, Probate, Tax Planning, Trusts and Court of Protection work)
  • Becoming involved in all areas and aspects of the firm
  • Assisting with developing the existing client base
  • Completing the CILEx qualification (funding included) with support from colleagues/management and aiming to complete this and become a Legal Executive or Solicitor within 3 – 5 years.

Our client is seeking a motivated, driven and passionate Paralegal who is looking for a long-term opportunity and is excited to learn.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A minimum of three A Levels at a Grade B or above.
  • For those with a degree, a minimum of a 2:1
  • Great organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

An interest in Shariah Law and its application under English Law would also be helpful.

The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 17:30.

In return, our client is offering a basic salary of £15,500 - £18,000 (highly dependent on the individual and their experience). And the successful candidate will have 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays.
