Office Assistant (Leading to an Apprentice) Rutherford House (Ref 711)

Forbes Solicitors, one of the largest Law Firms in the North, has a vacancy for an Office Assistant based at the Rutherford House Office.

The position will involve working as a member of a team within the office undertaking the following duties:

- filing of correspondence

- administration and distribution of correspondence, incoming and outgoing - including

internal mail to other branches.

- inputting data on to the case management system

- archiving files

- reception and switchboard cover

The successful applicant will have:

- 5 GCSEs A to C, or equivalent, including Maths, English Language & ICT – essential criteria;

- good interpersonal and organisational and IT skills;

- a willingness to learn to touch type and develop skills as they progress within the Firm.

Full training will be provided, including undertaking the Apprenticeship, which includes a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration at the Forbes Training Centre in Blackburn. The hours will be 9.00am until 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, commencing with 20 holidays, plus 8 statutory bank holidays pro rata.

Marketing Executive (Ref 708)

Forbes Solicitors, one of the largest Law Firms in the North of England, has a vacancy for a Marketing Executive to work within their busy Marketing & Business Development Department.

Working as part of a team, ideally candidates will have a minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in a professional services environment. This is a varied role which covers all aspects of marketing and business development. The role will appeal to candidates who are effective multi-taskers and who enjoy working across multiple practices areas. The successful candidate must have strong organisational skills and be able to calmly manage multiple deadlines.

Assisting with marketing campaigns and business development programmes, the successful candidate will use the full marketing mix to raise and maintain awareness of our Commercial (Corporate, Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Commercial Property & Employment) & Insurance expertise.

Activities will include:

Drafting campaign plans. Organising and assisting with marketing campaigns in order to strengthen existing relationships and develop new client opportunities

*
Organising targeted events, conferences and industry exhibitions

*
Co-ordination, editing and distribution of printed and digital newsletter and alerts

*
Drafting and designing marketing materials (i.e invitations, notifications to clients and internal advertising, social media updates)

*
Working alongside our design agency in relation to the campaign marketing (visuals and aesthetics)

*
Negotiating and placing industry relevant editorial

*
Working closely with fee-earners to fulfill and gather feedback on their BD commitments

*
Working with fee earners to encourage thought leadership in relevant press and Blogs

*
Championing social media including LinkedIn page and Twitter accounts

*
Maintaining commercial and insurance website and intranet pages

*
Assisting with drafting press releases, articles, directories and league tables

The successful candidate will ideally:

Hold a Business Studies or Marketing Degree, or hold a CIM qualification

*
Have the ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team

*
Have the ability to deal with Clients by telephone and in person

*
Have knowledge of IT systems, including software packages and email

*
Have the ability to use office equipment, including fax machines and photocopiers

*
Have excellent attention to detail and proof reading skills

*
Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
