A qualified property lawyer is required for an interim assignment with a local authority in East London. This placement will suit a lawyer with a minimum of 3 years PQE and with some exposure to local government processes and procedures.

Duties will include
* Undertaking work in connection with commercial tenancies
* Advising on renewals and terminations of new leases and licences
* Drafting deed of rectification

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of landlord & tenant law as well as familiarity with other areas of property law. Candidates should be prepared to hit the ground running and take on an active caseload with minimal supervision.

The assignment I predicted to last at least six months but will be reviewed at the end of the first three months. This is a full time assignment of 35 hours per week and the council are committed to offering flexible working arrangements wherever possible,
