Our client, a reputable regional law firm, has instructed us in relation to an opportunity for a locum Private Client Solicitor to join their Private Client team based in the West Midlands. This role as Private Client Solicitor provides the successful applicant with the opportunity to join an approachable and successful regional law firm who posses an interesting and varied client base.
About the role
Typical matters that the Private Client team deal with include providing inheritance tax planning advice, preparing wills, establishing trusts and advising trustees, and administering estates with business and agricultural property. This role involves working with a variety of clients including high net worth individuals and commercial clients with personal tax planning needs.
Initially offered on the basis of a 3-6 month temporary assignment, the role is subject to extension for the right candidate.
About the person
The Private Client Solicitor must be a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years experience in Private Client, with a particular interest in tax, estate planning and trust administration. Candidates who have completed or are working towards a STEP qualification are preferred.
The successful applicant will have a strong academic background along with excellent organisational and time-management skills, along with the ability to build a rapport with both colleagues, clients and introducers of work.
