Our global technology client is searching for a Legal Counsel to join their thriving team based in Cambridge.
Our client is looking for innovative lawyers who can work closely with the business and other legal stakeholders in a fast paced, busy team. Predominantly, you will be supporting the technology area of the business in a non-contentious IP licencing role. The team handles a variety of matters from a full spectrum of intellectual property law, competition and commercial law with support from other legal specialists and external counsel.
The position will consist of drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts with a bias towards technology matters, including intellectual property, collaboration agreements, software agreements and competition proceedings. You will also be developing and building upon working relationships with existing internal clients and partners.
Candidates would be expected to have strong technical knowledge of commercial contract and technology law (hardware and software) intellectual property matters. Creating solid working and business relationships internally and with business partners as well as experience of supporting mergers and acquisitions including contractual due diligence and integration would be extremely beneficial.
Our client envisages that candidates with 2 - 4 years PQE plus will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
