The Opportunity;

Slater and Gordon are currently
recruiting for an experienced Learning and Development Manager with
excellent training, delivery, scoping, curriculum and programme design, stakeholder
and project management skills to join us! This role will focus on delivering
effective learning and development activities to help us match our internal
requirements and the strategic objectives and business goals of the Company.
This is a rare and excellent opportunity to join a leading Law firm in our
Manchester office.

Responsibilities;

As
our Learning and Development Manager you will be involved in the following -

*

Consulting with your client groups using a Business Partnering
style to support them in achieving their specific L&D needs. Drive and
support initiative to enhance performance; improve knowledge, skills and
competence.

*

Scoping, developing and delivering L&D programmes (including
digital and blended learning solutions) making sure all programmes support the
Company’s Values and Strategic Drivers. This includes soft skills, technical
skills, IT skills and business focused training aimed at foundation,
intermediate, advanced and executive level learners.

*

Overseeing the design and delivery of soft skills, business and technical
curriculum / L&D programmes for each of your client groups, and when
required, supporting the delivery of system and technical training delivered by
external contributors, partners, presenters, speakers, trainers etc.

*

Assisting with the setting of, and work within, defined L&D
budgets, and maintain an accurate report of budget spend and commitment for
your client groups and return on investment.

*

Effectively apply the full L&D cycle. Identifying training
needs, scoping and designing programmes, delivering and rolling out programmes.
Evaluate learning and development activities, including the impact of the
learning on the individual, team and group, and compile data for reports as
required. Create and maintain competency matrices, curriculum, programmes and
tests, monitoring and tracking of learner’s progress.

Support the L&D team and activities across the group as and
when required – this may require you to travel and stay away from home from
time to time.

What
we are looking for;

*

Proven experience of delivering effective learning and development
activities within a professional services environment using a consultative
approach.

*

Ability to understand their client groups’ business issues and
develop appropriate, commercially savvy, innovative, L&D interventions to
resolve.

*

Accomplished and experienced trainer and curriculum, programme and
course design / developer

*

Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to
build and maintain strong business relationships and influence stakeholders at
all levels of the Company.

*

Effective project management (and L&D programme management),
excellent problem solving skills.

*

Certified trainer, learning and development / CIPD qualification or
equivalent experience / training, including coaching, performance enhancement
qualification (desirable).
