David Long Solicitors – Vacancy for a housing paralegal with a view to a training contract
David Long Solicitors is currently recruiting for a full-time housing paralegal with a view to a training contract following 6 to 12 months’ satisfactory employment.
About the firm
David Long Solicitors is a niche housing litigation practice with a strong commitment to social justice. We act predominantly for tenants, mortgagors, the homeless and those threatened with homelessness, although we do occasionally conduct work for socially responsible landlords.
The firm holds two standard civil legal aid contracts to provide legal services in housing in two London Boroughs – Brent and Hillingdon. In addition, the firm holds a housing possession court duty scheme contract to provide advice and representation at Willesden County Court.
The vacancy is for a full-time housing paralegal who may, after 6 to 12 months’ satisfactory employment, be offered a training contract.
The salary on offer for this position is £18,000.
The successful candidate will be expected to work from our office in Brent
The ideal candidate will have:
Candidates with substantial previous experience in another area of civil litigation and/or legal aid will be considered.
Candidates invited to interview will be expected to demonstrate that they possess all or most of the above.
