Departmental Management Assistant - Corporate

Manchester City Centre

£Competative

A DMA is required to join a Top UK Law Firm based in the centre of Manchester to sit within the Corporate team supervising a team of 17 Secretaries.

This role will provide a comprehensive and commercially focussed administrative / secretarial support service, here you will be required To:

-Support and offer guidance to other members of the secretarial team and work
collaboratively with them to complete work to a high standard and required deadlines.

-Responsible for co-ordinating secretarial workloads within the department and authorising and
recording annual leave in accordance with the departmental guidelines on annual leave.


-Take the initiative to adopt and recommend new ideas and changes in working methods within
the department or the Firm.

-Take a pro-active role in the drafting and implementation of secretarial best practice guidelines in conjunction with People and Development.

-To actively integrate new employees within the department, demonstrating the department
procedures and processes and ensure that the employee is fully informed to enable them to
function within their role.

-Where possible to offer support to the Senior and Legal Secretaries to ensure that workload
turnaround times meet Digital Best Practice Guidelines.

This is a rare opportunity which has come up with a leading law firm, that have an excellent reputation in the market place, and provide a progressive and friendly working environment.

The DMA role will be varied and fast paced. It is essential that you have previous in managing/supervising a team, excellent WIP and complaince skills, confident team player.

Excellent Typing, IT and communication skills are essential. You should be confident in MS Office including track changes or delta view, excel and PowerPoint.
