So what will you be doing?
For our clients, access to management information is critical to informing their business and, as a result, our lawyers rely heavily on our internal reporting functionality. This is where we can add real value to our clients and gain competitive advantage for our own business. So we'll be looking to you to help us to further develop our reporting capabilities, particularly financial information, partnering with our finance team to ensure that lawyers, and clients, have easy access to insightful information.
This is likely to see you working directly with our legal teams so that you gain a deep understanding of their challenges and requirements to ensure that your solutions are delivering exactly what the business needs. Automation presents a phenomenal opportunity for our sector to deliver more efficient and cost-effective legal services to our clients, whilst presenting some interesting opportunities for our lawyers to deliver the high value service – strategic advice and high quality client relationship management.
They'll be opportunities for you to work with the wider IT team in delivering innovative solutions to these automation challenges. You'll play your part in supporting in house written .net solutions that provide and support the firms automation and integration layer between systems as well as getting involved in new innovative projects to extend and enhance the capabilities of our systems.
Sounds great, what are we looking for?
Firstly, legal sector experience is not a pre-requisite for success in this role. In fact we're very open to experience from a different sector. It's this diversity of experience that makes up our existing team and is so critical in ensuring that we have we're continually challenging ourselves and considering fresh ideas.
What is crucial, is those first-class technical skills that you bring. We're looking for traditional .Net based development with exposure to web technologies, classic SQL server development incorporating SSIS, SSAS and SSRS and exposure to Practice Management reporting solutions. Knowledge of Qlik Sense would also be a huge advantage (to both you and us!).
Aside from those technical skills, you'll bring a range of excellent interpersonal and business skills. We'll be expecting you to work with a range of people across the business so the ability to build relationships, at all levels, is critical and, importantly, to communicate (often complex) information in way that those of us less technically skilled than you, can understand. We're operating in a fast-paced and changing environment so the ability to adapt, and respond quickly is critical.
What's in it for you?
We know that it's not all about us. You'll want to be assured that this is the right opportunity for you and we really believe that this is a fantastic place to work. You'll be joining a supportive team where you can learn from some exceptionally talented individuals but where your experience is also valued highly. Supported by a collegiate approach, and firm wide commitment to career development there are fewer better places to develop your career within the legal sector. And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.
