A new opportunity has opened for a Solicitor with a background in Court of Protection to join a Central London based law firm. The firm have a highly rated Court of Protection team that operates as a wider part of the Community Care and Court of Protection team. Due to an increased workload in this area they are now looking to bring a Solicitor into this team. With this in mind the firm are looking for a Solicitor that has experience in my deputyship applications, advising clients on capacity related matters and able to take issues to the Court of Protection as and when necessary. Ideally the firm would also be looking for experience in lasting powers of attorney but would also consider Solicitor's from a primarily Mental Health law background too. In turn this is a great opportunity to work in a busy environment with a highly rated team, that invests in the career development of their staff in order to get them bringing in their own clients and broadening the types of cases they can handle.
Required Skills and Responsibilities;
- Deputyship applications.
- Advising clients on capacity related matters and approaches to the Court of Protection.
- Ideally some broader Public Law experience.
- Be a team player
- Be a driven individual
- Excellent communication skills
