Job title: Corporate/Insolvency Solicitor, 0-3 years
Office: Nottingham

This is an exciting opportunity to join the company commercial team in our Nottingham office.

Accountabilities

* Integral part of the Company Commercial team, delivering on agreed cases, and supporting the overall profile of the team and the Nottingham Office as a whole
* Delivery of individual targets with supervision
* Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and building appropriate relationships with clients
* Adherence of agreed quality procedures and management systems
* Undertake and deliver work in a commercially effective manner
* Continually development technical and non-technical skills to meet client and firm requirements and demonstrate continuous improvement in all areas of work
* Some travel required for business development, meetings and training purposes

Qualification

* Relevant professional qualification or relevant industry experience

Skills/experience

* Strong legal skills in corporate and commercial setting
* Experience or interest in insolvency matters
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Working knowledge of case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
* Competent document production skills for self-generated documentation

Key areas of focus

* Joint ventures
* Share and Business acquisitions & disposals
* Reorganisations
* Commercial agreements
* Corporate governance/company secretarial matters
* Insolvency and restructuring

Personal attributes

* A strong team player with a motivational hands-on approach
* Uses initiative, plans and organises own time and workload so as to meet deadlines and prioritises work
* A measured and rational approach to problem solving
* Deals confidently and diplomatically with clients and other stakeholders
* Demonstrates integrity and congruence when dealing with people
* Personal responsibility for time capture, provision of costs information and fee recovery
