Our client a leading Legal firm in Peterborough are currently seeking a full time Legal Secretary to join their team within the Conveyancing department on a permanent basis.
Ideal Candidate description:
The role will be targeted at individuals which have previous experience in a legal firm within the conveyancing department. Our client is looking for an individual who has willingness and enthusiasm to do well in a professional environment as well as holding effective communication skills. Accurate administration skills will be required as well as being IT literate. The successful individual will ideally hold typing skills to at least the RSA 1 standard.
Job description and key responsibilities:
This is an ideal role for someone who is currently working within the same industry seeking their next challenge with a leading law firm. The main duties of this role will be to provide support to nominated Fee Earner and administration tasks as directed. To deal with word processing and typing of correspondence and documents through case management system as directed by principal fee earner.
To draft forms and other documents and correspondence as directed by fee earner. To attend to clients both on the telephone and in person.
To take and record accurately any messages and pass the same on to the appropriate person without unnecessary delay.
To attend to any other queries and make any other telephone calls as directed by fee earner. To keep an up-to-date and accurate filing system and to open and close and store files promptly as appropriate, in accordance with the firm's filing system.
To make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain an up-to-date appointment and reminder diary.
