An exciting opportunity for a Contracts and Procurement Lawyer has come up in Cambridgeshire working within the Contracts and Procurement department for a great Council. The role is a locum position for 3 months however may be ongoing after the initial period. The role is a part-time position with 24 hours per week with flexibility being placed on which days are worked.
The successful candidate of the Contracts and Procurement Lawyer role is expected to provide legal advice on:
*Public procurement, Commercial transactions, ICT contracts and Social care contracts
*General construction contracts and such other commercial contracts
*Drafting and negotiating contact terms and explaining their legal effect
*You may also be expected to give legal advice on matters such as Data protection, Freedom of information, Intellectual Property, Information Technology
*To attend committees and other meetings as required
The ideal candidate will:
*Be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
*Have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in Contracts and Procurement
*Be aware of and up-to-date with changes in UK and EU legislation
*Ideally will have experience working for a Local Authority, however candidates from an In-house or Private Practice background will be considered
