JOB TITLE: Construction Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 5-9 years PQE
Our client is continuing to expand their already thriving construction department and is seeking an senior Construction Solicitor to add to the experience and expertise of the team. The team currently works on a variety of construction matters, both contentious and non-contentious and has a strong reputation within the market for providing technical and commercially focused legal advise to a range of public sector clients. This appointed Construction Solicitor will work mainly on non-contentious matters including advising on large scale, high value projects. Due to the seniority required for this role, it is expected that the appointed Construction Solicitor will take on their own caseload from the outset and really hit the ground running from day one.
The Construction Solicitor should have between five and nine years of experience working in a construction department within private practice, where they primarily carried out non-contentious work, although our client will consider applicants who have worked in a mixed role, depending on the quality of their experience. The Solicitor should be conformable to work independently as well as providing input into larger, team based projects. It is essential that the Construction Solicitor has a network of contacts within the industry built through their experience so far, and is happy and confident to partake in business development on behalf of the department. Ideally, our client is looking for someone who is passionate about this area of law and who wants to continue to build a solid career with in.
