Exceptional opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator looking to free themselves from financial targets, office politics, inflexible working arrangements and other distractions, and instead handle good quality work in an expanding and forward-thinking practice.
My client is a highly-regarded litigation boutique which handles top-quality work on behalf of national and international clients, advising on disputes ranging from tens of thousands of pounds to multi-million dollar matters. The firm is establishing itself as the ‘go to’ firm for litigation advice within its discipline, which has seen the profile of the practice increase significantly over the last few years.
Not only is the quality of the client base impressive but the firm also offers a client-led approach to its work and its staff which has won many admirers; billing targets have been removed in favour of client satisfaction and fee-earners can work on a flexible or remote basis, benefitting from greater autonomy than when previously at national law firms.
An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced litigator to join the firm in a key lynchpin role, handling their own caseload of matters but also advising on technical or strategic enquiries internally. The firm has a particularly strong reputation for advising on financial crime and fraud, thus candidates with this experience will be of real interest.
The firm offers a competitive remuneration package including a generous incentivisation for candidates who can generate additional instructions from their own sources to supplement the already-high level of instructions.
This role is set perfectly for an experienced lawyer who may be disenfranchised with ‘Big Firm’ politics but enjoys quality work, or those who may not have a guaranteed following but who are seeking some of the flexibility which some of the ‘virtual’ law firms can offer. Due to the structure of the team it is likely that you will have accrued around 6-10yrs PQE or equivalent, although candidates at all levels of qualification will be considered providing they can display the required skill-set to excel in this role.
