Job Title: Claims Handler
Salary: Competitive salary + commission
Slater and Gordon are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler within our road traffic accident team based in Watford. We are looking for people with experience in Customer Service or Call Handling who will assist customers with their vehicle claim.
Understanding the needs of clients, empathise and provide a high level of client care at all times
Obtaining regular and consistent updates from our Credit Hire Organisations (CHOs)
Reviewing the CHO’s workings to make sure the best service is being supplied to the client, suppliers/Marketing Partners (MP) and us
Liaising with our clients and MPs and providing them full updates on the claims process
Updating canvassers on the progress of their claims
Communicating with third party insurance companies to help progress the clients claim
Responding to emails / PIMS queries from the canvassers and MP’s
Pre-empting and solving problems before they occur in addition to live problem solving
Reporting any common trends / problems to management efficiently and effectively
What we are looking for;
Ideally possess experience in a customer service/customer relation environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Professional, positive and passionate approach
Highly focused, organised and assertive
Great problem solving skills
Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment
Computer literate and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook
