JOB TITLE: Children and Education Paralegal
EXPERIENCE: 12 Months
Our top 100-law firm are seeking an experienced paralegal to join their specialist Children and Education Law team. The successful Paralegal will have gained experience of Family and/or Education law. Your day to day roles will include however not be limited to, assisting Solicitors with their diverse range of complex cases including adoption, child protection, Equality Act claims and SEN appeals, managing numerous case files and preparing documentation for court, and counsel and keeping all trial bundles up to date. In addition, you will be expected to draft letters to clients, instructions to expert witnesses, instructions to counsel and letters to the Court, Coordinate expert meetings, and attend Court to represent the firm and to note proceedings. You will have ideally gained experience in completing public funding forms with clients and lodging applications, complying with disclosure requirements and court orders within a strict timeframe and attending conferences with counsel and clients.
The successful paralegal will have outstanding organisational and time management skills and will be able to meet tight deadlines. You will have a minimum of 12 months experience working as a paralegal, this will ideally be in a Family or Education department. You will be focussed and have an ability to hit the ground running within a role.
