The Yorkshire Law Society was established during the reign of George III and is the second oldest law society in the land. Firmly committed to meeting the ever changing needs of all practitioners within the Yorkshire region. Annual dinners are made famous by the society's silver collection proudly displayed on the top table. MULS or Manchester University Law Society is run by students for students. Leeds Law Society
Recognised as the biggest legal centre outside of London, Leeds is steeped in legal history and none more so than the Leeds Law Society. One of the largest and most influential Societies incorporated in 1870 the society elected their very first female president 7 years after their centenary and in 2005 had more members registered at once than ever before reflecting the growth of the society.

The Law Society
The Law Society is the independent professional body for solicitors in England and Wales. Within the Law Society Group there are two independently run operating divisions: The Law Society Professional Body and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) who independently regulate solicitors and law firms.
